Our Early Preschool Program at Little Harvard Daycare is designed for children ages 2 to 3 who are growing out of toddlerhood and beginning to explore the world with greater independence, language, and curiosity.
At this age, children are eager to move, talk, and interact with others. Our classroom provides a supportive structure that helps them feel confident while encouraging exploration, communication, and early learning skills.
Here is what children experience in this stage:
Early Language Development
Teachers engage children in songs, stories, and daily conversations that build vocabulary, listening skills, and early communication.
Hands On Learning
Children participate in activities that involve building, sorting, drawing, and sensory play. These experiences support fine motor skills, problem solving, and early thinking.
Social Skills and Independence
Through small group activities and guided play, children learn to take turns, follow simple directions, and begin working together. Teachers help children practice expressing emotions and making choices.
Creative Expression
Art, music, movement, and pretend play allow children to explore imagination while strengthening coordination and self expression.
Routine and Structure
A predictable daily flow helps children feel safe and confident. Time is built in for play, learning, meals, rest, and quiet moments, allowing children to move through the day with comfort and stability.
Our Early Preschool classroom bridges the gap between toddler care and preschool by blending nurturing care with intentional learning experiences that support each child’s growth.
