Toddler Program

Our Toddler Program at Little Harvard Daycare is designed for children who are moving from infancy into greater independence, typically ages 12 months through 3 years. This stage of growth is full of curiosity, energy, and big discoveries, and our environment supports development with patience, structure, and playful learning.

In this program toddlers benefit from a daily rhythm that balances freedom to explore with guided learning opportunities. Our caregivers provide individualized attention while encouraging toddlers to build confidence, communication skills, and social awareness.

Here’s what your toddler will experience:

Active Learning and Exploration
Toddlers engage in hands-on activities that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and fine and gross motor development. Sensory play, blocks, art experiences, and movement activities help toddlers make sense of the world around them.

Language and Social Skills
Through stories, songs, conversations, and group activities, children expand vocabulary, practice sharing and turn-taking, and build early communication skills in a supportive atmosphere.

Structured Choices
We offer guided learning times alongside options that let toddlers choose activities that interest them. This balance nurtures emerging independence while reinforcing group participation and focus.

Comfort and Routine
Predictable routines help toddlers feel secure and confident. Regular times for meals, rest, and play provide structure and support emotional regulation, while caregivers adapt to each child’s needs.
